True to form, every year I manage to tag a ram wrong, this boy got his tag in the opposite ear. His dam (206/19) has superb fertility figures and is consistently in the top 20 early lambing ewes.

A solid ram with solid feet. Sired by a Waimea Wiltshire ram (9/21) ‘Sonny’ who was tested for foot constitution, this lad has thrown towards a very similar build.

This boy will be the first ram you notice in the pen. A commanding stature graced with a golden sheen and that unmissable beauty spot on his flank. Turning your focus to the figures you will see that he is also a stand out, boasting the heaviest current weight, heaviest weaning weight and 3rd highest Intramuscular Fat data.

A smaller ram born to a 2th ewe who went on to raise twins as a 2nd year  stud. This boy has the perfect composition to bounce around steep hills or service young stock.

Another ram who although smaller in stature he makes up for in potential fertility, with his dam getting more fertile with age, this season raising triplets through to weaning.

Stocky and compact, this ram has all the meat you need wrapped up in a small package.

A bit more timber to him than the previous rams, this boy has a lovely clean coat and hails from a Mangapiri Downs Ram who has lasted 3 breeding seasons within the very competitive Stud sire flock.

If data is what you are after then data is what this ram will give you. He holds the title of this seasons highest eye muscle area figures, the best intramuscular fat content and the 2nd heaviest current weight. For putting meat on your lambs’ carcases this is the lad for you.

If you are looking for a ram with no frills and solid data you cannot get much better than this lad. Standing high on his hooves is a sure sign that this guy has sound feet and if you need more convincing, just scroll down to see that his brother also made it into the sale.

Although he is smaller than his brother, there is something to be said about survivability of triplets. Maybe it is because of his skin thickness which is ranked in the highest category that allowed him to withstand the harsh Southland spring that he was born into.

Longevity is word that describes this rams bloodlines. He was born to a ewe that has been in the Tarata Hills Stud flock since I started tagging in 2016, making her at least 10 years old.

A robust ram with striking depth also carries some great genetics with his dam having a perfect fertility record for such a young ewe. She also produced a top 3 ram in the 2024 sale and a ram in the 2025 sale who was rocking an EMA of 21.

An ideal ram for meat production this boy is boasting the 2nd highest EMA and 2nd best IMF score for this year’s sale.

A twin to 80/24 with figures that aren’t too far off, this ram would be a great 2nd choice if you miss out on his brother.

If you are wondering why this ram’s dam has such a small birth record for an old ewe it is because she lost her tag in 2023 but obviously liked her new number as she went on to produce two sets of triplets.

Another ram with some top figures, this boy had the 2nd heaviest weaning weight and is currently the 3rd heaviest of the pack showing that he can hold a steady growth rate.

A lighter ram with a narrow frame, perfectly suited for ease of lambing in younger ewes.

Rocking a shorter frame, what this ram lacks in height he makes up for in pure density.

This ram has presence in the pen, holding down the 3rd highest EMA of the bunch and born to a ewe that has a stellar lambing fertility record.

Heavily set and born to one of the oldest dams in my stud flock, if you want your lambs to go the distance this is the boy for you.

He was too placid for me to get a video of him walking but his feet are as sound as his dam’s fertility records.

A chunky lamb with the 3rd highest weaning weight, he is now an athletic ram with great composition.

The old girls were obviously trying to prove a point in 2024 as this ram is from another 2016 tagged ewe. He is also holding a decent EMA score.

A stocky statured ram, very typical of a triplet.

Another triplet with a bit more height to him.

A clean ram with a decent EMA score.

This boy’s main attributes are broad shoulders and an ever wider rump, this is a solid ram.

Greatness runs in the family with this ram’s dam producing a top 3 ram in the 2024 sale as well as being one of the twin combos in this sale.

A replica of his twin brother above but with some meatier figures.
